The Colorado Patio Problem — and How Outdoor Shades Solve It
The Problem: Outdoor living is huge on the Front Range — decks, patios, pergolas, and mountain-view outdoor spaces. But Colorado’s intense high-altitude sun means the heat, glare, and UV drive you back inside by mid-afternoon, fade your outdoor furniture, and heat the adjacent rooms. Your outdoor space goes unused for the best hours of the day.
The Solution: Exterior patio shades fix it. Mounted over your outdoor space, they block UV and radiant heat before it reaches you, drop the temperature, cut glare, and add privacy — turning a sun-baked deck, patio, or pergola into a comfortable space you can actually enjoy, while protecting your mountain view. They also help keep heat out of the adjacent rooms, easing your Xcel bill. Manual or motorized, built for the Front Range climate.
Retractable Awnings
Shade On Demand for Your Outdoor Living
Retractable awnings extend for instant shade over your deck or patio, then retract for open sky, and retractable screens turn a covered patio into a comfortable room. Motorized models adjust automatically for Colorado’s fast-changing weather.

Why the Front Range Chooses MITS for Outdoor & Patio Shades
We use heavy-duty exterior systems engineered for the high-altitude sun and Front Range weather — not lightweight products that fray in a season. Every system is custom-sized to your deck, patio, or pergola and professionally installed for a clean, secure fit.
